Rays vs. White Sox, with another new look

Update 5:06 p.m. Manager Joe Maddon said with White Sox lefty John Danks such a tough matchup - and lefties hitting better against him - he wanted to get more left-handed hitters in the lineup against him.

Lefties are .277 against Danks this season, with righties .196.

That's partly why C John Jaso will be at DH; Dioner Navarro, who has hit Danks well (5-for-13), is behind the plate. Maddon said he'd prefer to have a set lineup, and not as many changes, but for now, with new "toys" like Jaso and Hank Blalock, and both Carlos Pena and B.J. Upton struggling, he's going to mix it up.

Developing: The new ideas keep coming for manager Joe Maddon, as he tries yet another new combination to get the offense going, with rookie C John Jaso as the DH, Evan Longoria back in the No. 3 spot and Ben Zobrist off.

Here is the lineup:

Longoria 3b,
