Spring game report: Rays vs. Orioles
UPDATE, 3:40: Ramos ended up allowing five runs, and it's now 7-2 O's with Rays coming up in the bottom of the 8th.
UPDATE, 3:34: Now it''s 5-2 as Ramos continues to get hit.
UPDATE, 3:24: LHP Cesar Ramos, who appears to have won a job in the bullpen, gave up a walk and then a two-run homer to Vlad Guerrero and the O's now lead 4-2.
UPDATE, 3:21: Hellickson was relatively pleased with his outing, but said his fastball command needs work. Rays and O's still tied at 2-2 in the 8th.
UPDATE, 2:55: Through 6, it's still tied 2-2.
UPDATE, 2:46: Hellickson's line: 4 1/3 IP, 5 hits, 2 runs/earned, 2 walks, 3 strikeouts, and the home run.
UPDATE, 2:33: Hellickson leaves with one out in the fifth, having thrown 82 pitches.
UPDATE, 2:28: Hellickson gives up a couple hits in the fifth, and the O's tie it on a J.J. Hardy double.
UPDATE, 2:24: Rays leading 2-1 through four.
UPDATE, 2:12: Hellickson continues to look sharp, Rays lead 2-1 in the fourth.
UPDATE, 1:54: Johnny Damon loses another fly ball in the sun - that's at least a couple this spring - and Markakis ends up on second, but Hellickson gets out of the inning.
UPDATE, 1:53: A loooooonnnnngggg home run to right field by Brian Roberts off an O-2 Hellickson pitch. It's 2-1 Rays in the third.
UPDATE, 1:47: Diving stop by 1B Dan Johnson to rob Pie of a hit.
UPDATE, 1:40: A Dan Johnson double off the top of the right-centerfield wall and a B.J. Upton laser-like single off the leftfield wall led to another run and the Rays are up 2-0.
UPDATE, 1:35: Ben Zobrist hit a leadoff opposite field home run to give the Rays a 1-0 lead and Jeremy Hellickson has pitched well so far, allowing just one hit in two innings.
UPDATE, 11:01: C John Jaso will play three innings in a minor-league game today, the next stage in his recovery since being hit by a foul tip in the groin last Saturday.

UPDATE, 9:47: It's been a busy morning here already, as former Cubs 2B Glenn Beckert, who lives in the area, has been in uniform as an honorary coach, visiting with Don Zimmer and Maddon, and there was a table tennis exhibition in the batting cages, staged by members of the St. Petersburg Beach-based Sunrise Table Tennis club, where Andy Sonnanstine played this winter. Taking part at various time this morning were Sonnanstine, David Price, Elliot Johnson, Wade Davis, Matt Joyce, manager Joe Maddon and a few others.
