January

The Rays announced that tickets to their home spring training games will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Friday only via raysbaseball.com.

And then starting at 10 a.m. Saturday they will be available through all outlets, including the Tropicana Field box office, Tampa team store, Charlotte Sports Park, TicketMaster and by calling 888-FAN-RAYS.  Ticket prices are $7-27. For the schedule, click here.

But it's not that simple.

There will be a pre-sale for Rays insider subscribers starting on Thursday via raysbaseball.com. (Registration to qualify as a Rays insider is free and runs through noon Wednesday.)

And there is actually an "early access pre-sale" that starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday, where tickets will be first available, though with a hefty surcharge, up to $15 extra per ticket for games vs. the Phillies, Red Sox and Yankees, and sold in limited quantities.

See this page at raysbaseball.com for the details.
