For starters: Longoria remains in leadoff spot for Rays in series finale vs. Indians

Rays slugger Evan Longoria was so successful in his career debut as the leadoff hitter Saturday that Joe Maddon thought twice would be nice. So Longoria, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and reached base three times against the Indians Saturday, will remain in that spot for today's series finale.

Maddon hinted that he may return Longoria to the middle of the Rays lineup shortly.

"I think maybe at least one more day today,'' Maddon said. "I thought he looked good yesterday and I thought he saw pitches better. I thought he saw more pitches. He was on base three times, so I thought he looked better. Just get another look today, and again, it's about winning but it's also about trying to get him right. And if it just puts the right thought in his head before we move him back, that would be great. I thought he looked pretty good yesterday.''
