For starters, Mets at Rays (UPDATED 5:30 P.M.)

For the second game in a row, Ben Zobrist is absent from the Rays' lineup. Only this time, it's his head and hand that are throbbing.

"Little fever in the morning, and he's getting better but he's still under the weather a bit," Joe Maddon said during his chat with reporters about two hours before first pitch against the Mets. "He may be available later tonight, I'm not sure, but for right now he's not feeling too hot."

Zobrist hurt his right hand on a slide into second over the weekend at Miami, and was a late scratch from Tuesday's series opener against the Mets. Maddon said the hand remains a bit sore, but it's not the issue tonight.

Maddon also noted that Luke Scott is battling back soreness, meaning Hideki Matsui will be the DH again tonight.
