For starters, Mets vs. Rays (UPDATED 5 P.M.)

Manager Joe Maddon has tweaked his lineup for tonight's interleague series opener against the Mets. Second baseman Ben Zobrist (hand) is out; Will "Batman" Rhymes will spell him in the order and play third, with Sean Rodriguez going to second.

Zobrist has experienced soreness since taking a ball to the hand on a slide into second during the weekend series at Miami. X-rays were negative, the Rays confirmed. Maddon said he was hopeful Zobrist would be available to pinch-hit tonight.

As a result of the change, DH Hideki Matsui, celebrating his 38th birthday, moves from sixth to fifth in the order.
