For starters, Rays at Brewers, seeking series

UPDATE, 1:16: Maddon said his decision to not play Damon was about resting the 37-year-old usual DH and not having him face Marcum, who the Rays consider to be more like a lefthander.

DEVELOPING: The Rays are looking to win the series against the NL Central leading Brewers with a victory in today's matinee finale.

They'll do so with LHP David Price on the mound, seeking revenge for his last start vs. Boston, and with a right-handed heavy lineup against Brewers RHP Shaun Marcum, the former Blue Jay.

That means no Johnny Damon, no Matt Joyce, no John Jaso (though he might not have played in a day game after a night game anyway), no Reid Brignac.

What they do have will look like this:

Rodriguez 2b
Zobrist rf
Longoria 3b
Upton cf
Kotchman 1b
Ruggiano lf
Shoppach c
Johnson ss
Price p

And for the Brew Crew:
Weeks 2b
Hart rf
Braun lf
Fielder 1b
McGehee 3b
Betancourt ss
Gomez cf
Lucroy c
Marcum p
