For starters, Rays-M's with no Pena, and big plans for Zaun

UPDATE, 3:19: Listening to Joe Maddon's plans, it sure sounds like Gregg Zaun is going to be the primary catcher.

Essentially Zaun is going to play against right-handed pitchers, although not if it means starting three or four in a row initially as he gets readjusted to regular duty, and Navarro is going to start against lefthanders.

So for the Anaheim series, Zaun will play Monday and Tuesday, and Navarro in Wednesday's day game.

As for leaving Pena out of the lineup, Maddon basically said that he did it because Pena is swinging well and he didn't want him to face a lefty he's had trouble with - 0-for-5 with 4 Ks. And there was the additional component of wanting get Willy Aybar in the lineup and keep Gabe Kapler involved.

DEVELOPING: The Rays are looking to make it two out of three against the Mariners today, with Scott Kazmir on the mound and AL home run co-leader Carlos Pena on the bench against Seattle hyphenated lefty Ryan Rowland-Smith.

Here is the Rays lineup:
Bartlett, ss
Crawford, lf
Longoria, 3b
Zobrist, 2b
Burrell, dh
Aybar, 1b
Kapler, rf
Navarro, c
Upton, cf
Kazmir, p

And for the Mariners:
Suzuki, rf
Gutierrez, cf
Lopez, 2b
Sweeney, DH
Beltre, 3b
Branyan, 1b
Wilson, ss
Johjima, c
Saunders, lf
Rowland-Smith, p
