BREAKING: The Rays are set to open a three-game series tonight in Washington against the NL East-leading Nationals.

LHP David Price will be on the mound for the Rays and Chien-Ming Wang for the Nationals.

OF Rich Thompson will join the Rays today, providing depth and versatility off the bench for the NL-rules games. He takes the roster spot of RHP Brandon Gomes, who was called up when DH Luke Scott went on the DL.

3B Evan Longoria is expected to be here also, after leaving a rehab game with Triple-A Durham on Monday due to issues with his hamstring, and there may be an update on how much of a setback he suffered.
