Developing: The Rays will go for a three-game sweep of the Orioles today in a matinee on a hot day at Camden Yards.

Temperatures are expected to reach 106-degrees today, though it's not too bad now. RHP James Shields, who finds his name swirling in trade rumors, will get the start, more focused on following up his strong outing the last time out, allowing just three runs over 7 2/3 innings.

In a nine-game road trip that has Tampa Bay facing three wild-card contending teams, the Rays will next head to Anaheim to face the resurgent Angels.

New Ray Ryan Roberts had a successful debut last night, reaching base three times, including a two-run homer. C Jose Lobaton picked up his first career homer.

3B Evan Longoria (partially torn left hamstring) will begin his rehab assignment tonight for Triple-A Durham.

Lineups, and more, to come
