For starters, Rays at Phils, all day and night

UPDATE, 12:11: Maddon said the pitching plans for Game 2 won't be set until after the first game. But one guy that won't be in the mix is RHP Alex Cobb, who is flying ahead to Kansas City today and will start on Monday night. ... Desmond Jennings said he feels fine, and Maddon said it was more a matter of giving him a game (or at least part of a game) off given his struggles, such as a .191 average since coming off the DL ... Maddon said he will use the bullpen as needed in the first game, then figure out the second game. And he said again that Torres could start the second game, or it could be someone else -- which is where Ramos comes in.
BREAKING: The Rays and Phillies are set for a long day, and night, at Citizens Bank Park, as they will play a day-night doubleheader.
The good news is that the skies are clear and the temps somewhat pleasant.
The Rays took advantage of a new MLB rule regarding roster expansion for doubleheaders and called up LHP Alex Torres from Triple-A to add depth to the bullpen.
They plan to start ace LHP David Price in the opener against Phils ace LHP Cole Hamels, but have not announced a starter for the nigthcap against LHP Cliff Lee. Their plan is to use their bullpen crew plus Torres to keep the rest of their rotatation intact, with LHP Cesar Ramos likely to start.
