For starters, Rays at Red Sox, at Fenway's 101st opener




The Rays are the guests today at the 101st opening day at Fenway Park, launching a year-long celebration of stadium's history.

There will be a fair amount of pomp and circumstance, including a flyover, but the Sox will save most the dramatics for the actual anniversary, April 20.

The Rays are a bit shorthanded today, with DH Luke Scott still sidelined with a hamstring strain and C Jose Lobaton's status unclear due to shoulder pain.

David Price will be on the mound, seeking to extend his perfect record at Fenway, and the Sox will start Josh Beckett, who should get an interestign reception from the frustrated Fenway faithful.
