For starters, Rays at Red Sox, in the morning
The Rays and Red Sox are getting off to an early start for today's Patriots Day game, and Fenway Park is already buzzing with comments Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine made about 3B Kevin Youkilis, saying he wasn't "into the game" as much as he had been.
The Rays have their own issues to deal with in the 11:05 a.m., having lost four straight games overall, and facing the possibility of a four-game sweep by the Red Sox.
The Rays will send opening day starter James Shields to the mound to try to turn things around. And there is one major change to the lineup, with Luke Scott moving into the cleanup spot and Matt Joyce dropping to sixth.
The Rays have played here on Marathon Day twice before, winning in 1999 and 2010.
Also, the Rays made a minor-league trade, acquiring RHP Matt Buschmann from Washington for cash and sending him to Double-A Montgomery.
