For starters, Rays vs. Indians

UPDATE, 5:32: Maddon said he hadn't come up with a set plan on the time-sharing at shortstop between Sean Rodriguez and Reid Brignac, but it sounds like S-Rod will get most of the playing time for the next week or so to see how he does. ... As of now, Maddon said Andy Sonnanstine remains in place as the No. 5 starter and will face the Rangers on Tuesday. ... John Jaso is the leadoff hitter again, but Maddon acknowledged they are in somewhat experimental mode trying to find the right combo with Sam Fuld dropped to No. 9.

DEVELOPING: The Rays are set to open a six-game homestand tonight against the Indians (and then the Rangers), seeking to snap a 3-8 skid that has dropped them from first place.

Ace David Price will be on the mound, seeking to break his two-game winless streak, and Sean Rodriguez will be at shortstop.

The Indians, who have the best record in the majors, will have the added benefit of having CF Grady Sizemore back off the DL. Shin Soo-Choo is also out of the lineup.
