For starters, Rays vs. Indians at high noon



UPDATE, 11:10: Joyce is not in the lineup because he is "stiff and sore" though there is a possibility he could pinch-hit. ... Rodriguez is making his first start at short since July 7. ... The Rays are looking for Price, who shares the major-league lead with 12 wins, to go deep into the game today as the bullpen has been working heavily.

UPDATE, 10:05: Matt Joyce is not in the lineup today, with Hideki Matsui starting in RF.

BREAKING: This is becoming a familiar theme, but the Rays will try to put an ugly loss behind them when they take the field for a 12:10 matinee against the Indians hoping to split the four-game series.

The good news for the Rays is that they will have ace David Price on the mound.

Price has been their best and most consistent pitcher this season, and one of the best in the game.

The Indians, who will start Ubaldo Jimenez, have been a challenge for the Rays this season.
