For starters, Rays vs. Mariners, at end of the stand
UPDATE, 12:42: RHP Alex Cobb said his bruised right leg felt a little sore when he first got up today, but improved as the morning went on and he remains confident he can make his next start, which lines up to be Friday in Anaheim. The Rays could take advantage of Monday's off-day and push Cobb back to Saturday, and use Matt Moore on Friday on regular rest. ... Keppinger, by the way, is hitting .446 vs. LHP, second in the majors to Pittsburgh's Andrew McCutchen.
UPDATE, 12:38: As expected, Jeff Keppinger is the DH today and Hideki Matsui is not in the lineup. Maddon said he wanted to get Keppinger, who has been playing regularly at third base, a chance to get off his feet, and obviously Matsui has been struggling. The move also gave Brooks Conrad a start.
BREAKING: The Rays wrap up their season-long 10-game homestand this afternoon with a matinee against the Mariners.
LHP Matt Moore will be on the mound for the Rays, and the featured player in today's bobblehead giveaway.
The homestand has been a disappointment for the Rays, who have gone 4-5 thus far against the Red Sox, Indians and Mariners.
A lack of offense has been their major problem, though inconsistent starting pitching has been an issue as well, as they are hoping for a strong start today from Moore.
The Rays are off on Monday, then open a tough road trip on Tuesday that matches them with three other wild-card contenders as they visit the Orioles, Angels and A's.
