For starters, Rays vs. Mariners, with no Crawford or Zobrist

The Rays will go for a three-game sweep of the Mariners - and a chance to move one step closer of clinching a postseason berth - today.

But they'll do so with an interesting lineup, as LF Carl Crawford and Ben Zobrist are getting a day off. Manager Joe Maddon said he had already planned it out this way, and with the Rays winning the last two games against Seattle (1 1/2 games up on the Yankees in the AL East), it made it easier for him to rest those two. With Crawford, Maddon said he wanted to get him a day off the Tropicana Field turf.

Rocco Baldelli will get another start in rightfield, as the Rays continue to explore what he can give them defensively.

There's a possibility the Rays could be celebrating clinching a postseason berth tonight; they have to beat the Mariners, and the Red Sox have to lose to the Yankees tonight in their game at 8 p.m.
