For starters, Rays vs. A's with Moore seeking more



UPDATE, 5:40: RHP Alex Cobb said he was fine after last night's overly exuberant celebration that left him sprawled on the ground, and is planning his revenge on Matt Moore, who delivered the crushign blow. Manager Joe Maddon said he'll suggest they tone it down a bit to make sure no one gets hurt. .... The Rays officially list TBA as the starter for Wednesday in Texas, which means they are considering moving LHP Matt Moore up in the rotation and RHP Alex Cobb back a day. Manager Joe Maddon also suggested that RHP Jeff Niemann, whose velocity has not been consistent during his rehab assignment, is more likely to be used as a spot starter than reclaimn a place in the rotation.

The Rays are looking to increase the pressure on the Yankees, whose division lead has been cut to 2 1/2 games, when they host the A's tonight at 7:10.

LHP Matt Moore, who has been on a dazzling roll, will be on the mound for the Rays against RHP Jarrod Parker. Moore is 1-0, 1.16 over his last five starts and 9-2, 2.79 over his last 14.

The Rays are expected to have Evan Longoria at DH tonight, in between starts at 3B.
