For starters, Rays vs Orioles

7

April

Update: RHP James Shields is not with the team today, as he's with his wife, Ryane, who is having induced labor to have their second daughter.

Developing: The Rays, coming off their wild, walk-off win in Tuesday's opener, return to face the Orioles tonight, with RHP Matt Garza making his first start of the season.

Reid Brignac will get the start at second base, with manager Joe Maddon saying he likes how he matches up against Orioles RHP Jeremy Guthrie. With LHP Brian Matusz starting tommorrow for the Orioles, you'll see Ben Zobrist back at second with Gabe Kapler in right.

Maddon said he hadn't talked with closer Rafael Soriano, but will to see if he's available for tonight's game after throwing 26 pitches in earning the win last night.

The only change in the Orioles lineup is that Nolan Reimold will be in left, as manager Dave Trembley said Felix Pie has a rotator cuff issue due to a throw he made last night.

The promotion for tonight is Joe Maddon glasses, and several Rays were wearing them a bit in the clubhouse before the game.

Here are the lineups.
