BREAKING: After splitting a pair of extra-inning games, the Rays and Rangers play the third and decisive game of their series this afternoon - under the roof - at Tropicana Field.

James Shields will be on the mound for the Rays, seeking to continue his roll and pick up his 14th win. The Rangers are starting veteran Roy Oswalt, having bumped back original starter Matt Harrison a couple days.

Evan Longoria may be the DH today, though with a righthander starting the Rays would probably rather have Longoria at third and Luke Scott at DH.

The Rays are off on Monday, then open what could be a defining week in their season as they play three-game series at the Orioles and then at the Yankees, the two teams they are chasing in the AL East.
