For starters, Rays vs. Red Sox

Update 2:52 p.m. RHP Jeremy Hellickson will start on Tuesday against the Yankees (making that a career-long 16 days between starts), but manager Joe Maddon said they still haven't decided who will pitch Monday (either RHP Alex Cobb or LHP Alex Torres will likely get called up from Triple-A Durham). There could be an announcement later this afternoon.

*RHP Wade Davis (right forearm strain) threw a bullpen session Friday and said all went well, with another bullpen planned for Monday. Maddon said if he stays on schedule, he won't have to make a rehab start before rejoining the rotation.

*Though C Kelly Shoppach is starting today against RHP John Lackey, Maddon said C Jose Lobaton - called up Thursday - will start Sunday against RHP Josh Beckett.

Developing:The Rays, coming off a 9-6 win over the Red Sox Friday night, will face them again this afternoon in a game televised live on FOX.

RHP James Shields, who had an impressive, All-Star first-half, will be on the mound, having thrown a complete-game shutout against Boston the last time he pitched against them. The Red Sox will throw RHP John Lackey, who snapped a three-game losing streak by tossings 6 2/3 scoreless innings his last outing.

The Rays lineup has a bit of a twist, with 1B Casey Kotchman in the three hole, the highest he's hit in the order this season. C Kelly Shoppach will get the start with the righty, having reached base three times Friday.

Rays lineup:
Damon Dh
Zobrist 2b
Kotchman 1b
Longoria 3b
