For starters, Rays vs. Red Sox - with CC hitting 6th and in LF



uPDATE: Rays lineup: Damon dh, Zobrist 2b, Joyce rf, Longoria 3b, Kotchman 1b, Upton cf, Jaso c, Ruggiano lf, Brignac ss, Shields p DEVELOPING: The Rays are - finally - back at Tropicana Field, and getting ready to face the red-hot Red Sox, who have won their last nine and are 4 1/2 games ahead of them.

Oh, and there is that slight matter of Carl Crawford's first visit back to the Trop as a visitor - he's batting sixth and playing leftfield.

The Rays are still smarting over the apparently blown call in Monday's 2-1 loss to Detroit, but don't expect any type of comment from MLB on the call, it's not how they do operate, whereas the NFL occasionally does issue statements.

Also, the Rays will have a moment of silence tonight for Tom McEwen, the longtime Tampa-area sports columnist who passed away on June 5.

No word on a Rays lineup; here is what the Red Sox have planned:
