For starters: Rays vs. Twins, 3-2 loss



FINAL UPDATE: The Rays lost 3-2, dropping to 0-4 for the first time in their 15-spring history. Niemann's two innings were solid overall, Carlos Pena made his return, SS Sean Rodriguez made a costly error.

UPDATE, 1:43: Niemann went two innings for Rays, allowing two hits and an unearned run, throwing 30 pitches.

BREAKING: The Rays are prepping this morning for the third of nine scheduled exhibitions with the Twins.

Jeff Niemann, battling with Wade Davis to keep a spot in the rotation, will make his first start of the spring and said he will take a measured approach and not put any more emphasis on his outing than he normally would.

Carlos Peña is in the lineup, making his first appearance of his second stint with the Rays.
