UPDATE. 1:53: J.P. Howell looked good during and felt good after a 34-pitch batting practice session, saying it went "very, very well.'' Manager Joe Maddon said he thought Howell looked "kinda normal.'' Howell will throw another BP on Tuesday, then head out on a minor-league rehab with a plan to complete his recovery from shoulder surgery and get back to the big leagues in mid-May. As he threw today, more than a dozen players came out of the clubhous to watch, a sign of how much they miss and care for him. .. Maddon stuck with Matt Joyce in the No. 3 spot, saying he liked the confidence Joyce is showing.
