For starters, Rays vs. Yankees, again
UPDATE, 5:21: The bullpen is again shorthanded tonight, as Maddon said closer Kyle Farnsworth is not available, nor is LHP Cesar Ramos. He said it's undecided who would pitch the ninth if the Rays have a lead. ... RHP Wade Davis had a good 65-pitch bullpen session on Monday and if all goes well on Wednesday could return from the DL (forearm strain) and rejoin the rotation as soon as Friday in Kansas City. ... OF Matt Joyce's sore right knee is feeling better and Manager Joe Maddon said there was "an outside shot" he could return to the lineup. ... C John Jaso, on the DL with an oblique strain, did some drills but hasn't started hitting and won't accompany the team at least on the start of the road trip. ... Maddon said he liked the matchup of Chirinos vs. Colon better than Shoppach so that's why the rookie is starting again behind the plate. ... De La Rosa is here, as Alex Torres was last night, to provide depth to the pen.

DEVELOPING: The Rays face the Yankees again tonight, seeking to reverse a recent skid that has seen them lose three straight and 10 out of 16, and drop 8 games from first place and 6 1/2 from the wild-card.
RHP Jeremy Hellickson will be on the mound tonight, making his first start in 16 days. The Yankees will start Bartolo Colon, who has had a couple of rough starts after a solid start to the season.
The Rays will also have another new face in their bullpen, with RHP Dane De La Rosa - who was out of baseball and selling real estate in 2006 - called up to take the place of Alex Torres.
