Suspended game resumes, ends with 3-1 Rays win; Next game at 9:05
UPDATE, 8:52: Rays scheduled game lineup:
UPDATE, 8:50: The regular game will start at 9:05. Cormier calls Burrell homer "the biggest hit" of the season.
UPDATE, 8:21: Rays win as Marco Scutaro makes final out.
UPDATE, 8:18: Two outs after a popup by Cameron.
UPDATE, 8:14: Soriano gets one out, then allows a double to Varitek.
UPDATE, 8:11: A little gamesmanship from Rays manager Joe Maddon? He had Cormier warm up for the bottom of the 12th, with Boston's Jeremy Hermida getting ready to hit, then went out and made the switch to Soriano.
UPDATE, 8:06: Pat Burrell comes through with a two-run two-out homer in the 12th off Manny Delcarmen - the Rays first hit since the sixth inning - to put the Rays up 3-1.
UPDATE, 7:53: And the Rays get out of it with a ground ball to third, and Longoria starts a normal 5-3 double play. On to the 12th.
UPDATE, 7:50: And they stay in the five-man infield, though in "traditional" alignment, for Beltre.
UPDATE, 7:46: And the Rays go to the five-man infield in a modified Ortiz shift, with three on the right side. It works as Ortiz grounds out.
UPDATE, 7:38: And now it's the bottom of the 11th as Cormier comes out for his third inning. One benefit for the Sox - they got to use OF Mike Cameron, who was out on Friday as he passed a kidney stone.
UPDATE, 7:33: And the Sox go down just as quickly as the game now heads to the 11th.
UPDATE, 7:26: The Rays went down meekly in their 10th.
UPDATE, 7:17: Cormier retires the Sox in order, so the game goes to extra innings. With Jonathan Papelbon unavailable due to the late afternoon birth of his son, Daniel Bard will be on the mound for Boston.
DEVELOPING: Lance Cormier is on the mound and David Ortiz at the plate as the suspended game resumes at 7:13, and it's 40 degrees.
