With sweep, some national attention

The Rays are getting some serious national attention and love after their big weekend in Boston.

ESPN has been all over them, moving them up to No. 2 in its power rankings behind the Yankees. Analyst John Kruk looks ahead to the tough decision the front office could have as the season unfolds in regard to trading Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena and advocates they keep the team together and go for it: "The Rays have an opportunity to win their division and make a push for the World Series, so they better take it." There's also a good take on the series from the always insightful Howard Bryant, and a good look at what's wrong the Sox by old friend Gordon Edes.

The Rays are also No. 2 in the Fanhouse power rankings, as well as the Chicago Tribune's by Phil Rogers and NBC Sports' Hardball Talk.
