Tarp coming off, delay ending, game starting at 9:15
UPDATE, 8:52: First pitch is scheduled for 9:15 - at least that's better than last year, when Game 3 of Rays-Phillies began at 10:06, the latest in Series history.
UPDATE, 8:49: The grounds crew is pulling off the tarp. No announcement yet on first pitch time.
UPDATE, 8:35: Or, actually, after 9 p.m.
UPDATE, 8:20: According to an mlb.com reporter on the field, there is another band of showers on the way and it could be around 9 p.m. until the game starts.
UPDATE, 8:08: Well it's not raining, but the tarp remains on and none of the Yankees have come out so there must be more rain on the way.
UPDATE, 8:01: Not sure what this means, but the military personnel holding the extremely large flag just left the field.
UPDATE, 7:47: Or not, as Hamels is just chilling in the bullpen, not throwing, as the rain is still falling. And Yankees starter Andy Pettitte is nowhere to be seen.
UPDATE, 7:38: Well, it shouldn't be a long delay as Phillies starter Cole Hamels is heading out to start warmups.
UPDATE, 7:25: And now the tarp is back on.
DEVELOPING: There's been no announcement about a delay, but the grounds crew seems about ready to put the tarp back on as rain has been falling for a while, and getting heavier.
