Yankees new LF looks familiar - Randy Winn
The Yankees filled their leftfield void with former Ray Randy Winn, according to the New York Post.
Winn, 35, spent the 1998-2002 seasons with the Rays, then was traded to Seattle in compensation for the hiring of Lou Piniella as manager. He was traded again from Seattle to San Francisco during the 2005 season, but struggled last year, hitting just .262 with 2 homers, 51 RBIs and a .318 on-base percentage.
Winn reportedly signed for about $2-million, and his arrival should make official the departure of Johnny Damon.
