Rays senior adviser Don Zimmer was back at the Trop for the first time since opening weekend.
Zimmer has started on a thrice-weekly regimen of dialysis treatments after being hospitalized three times due to kidney issue.
"I'm here,'' he said. "That's the most important thing.''
Zimmer, 81, said he is slowing feeling better but still getting used to the treatments, that take four hours each time. He is also wearing diabetic shoes and on a restricted diet.
Word spread quickly that Zimmer was at the stadium, and several Rays players, including B.J. Upton and Evan Longoria, immediately came over to see him, as did manager Joe Maddon.
