Zimmer resting comfortably after having pacemaker installed

Rays senior advisor Don Zimmer is resting comfortably at home after having a pacemaker installed on Monday, son Tom said.

Zimmer, 79, had been sluggish but already feels much better Tom said.
"He's fine, and he'll have more pep,'' Tom Zimmer said. "In fact, he said they don't have to acquire a shortstop, because he might make a comeback.''

The 2011 season will mark Zimmer's 63rd year in pro baseball, and 53rd in the major leagues.
