2B Logan Forsythe returns from the disabled list tonight and rejoins the Rays lineup as they begin a nine-game homestand with the first of three against the Astros.

INF Nick Franklin was optioned back to Durham to make room on the roster.

This will make it interesting for manager Kevin Cash to keep INF Steve Pearce in the lineup. Pearce is playing first base tonight, and Logan Morrison is serving as the DH.

Forsythe was batting .308 when he suffered a slight hairline fracture of his left shoulder blade after being struck by a pitch in Seattle.

Matt Andriese (4-0) makes his seventh start of the season. He’ll face Tampa-product Lance McCullers (3-1, 4.23).

The Rays returned from a 5-5 road trip having won five of the last six games. They are hoping to carry the momentum into the homestand since they are 11-15 at the Trop.

Astros SS Carlos Correa (spring left ankle) is not in the lineup tonight. Astros manager A.J. Hinch said he hopes Correa will play at some point this weekend.
