For starters, Rays at Angels, again
UPDATE, 7:27: C Ryan Hanigan remains sidelined with soreness in his right hamstring, though the Rays have yet to say whether it is a cramp or a mild strain. Hanigan said he felt he "can manage" and should be okay if he can rest until Tuesday. Maddon said it is a concern, though if Hanigan was able he would consider using him on an emergency basis if something happened to Jose Molina or they had to pinch-run.
Maddon put Kiermaier in CF for his defense, acknowledging that it will be a tough matchup for him offensively vs. Angels LHP Wilson.
Maddon made a new addition to the cologne table, with a vintage bottle of Hai Karate Oriental Lime, but is sticking with Sex Panther since the Rays won last night. Also, Maddon noted he won both of the team Preakness Stakes pools today.
DEVELOPING: The Rays will look to make it two in a row tonight when they take on the Angels again.
LHP Cesar Ramos, making what could be his last start as the Rays plan for RHP Alex Cobb's return, will be on the mound against Angels LHP C.J. Wilson.
The Rays are without CF Desmond Jennings, who was placed on the bereavement list and replaced by OF Kevin Kiermaier. Also, C Ryan Hanigan is out after leaving Friday's game with what was either a cramp or mild strain of his right hamstring. His condition should be more clear today.
Today is Armed Forces Day, and both teams will wear special jerseys and caps featuring camo accents.
