DEVELOPING: The Rays will have RHP Alex Cobb on the mound for today's 12:10 matinee finale in Cleveland with a chance for their first winning road trip in a year.

The Rays beat the Indians on Tuesday to split the first two games of the series, that after taking two of three in Boston. Their last winning road trip was in May 2016 to Toronto, Detroit and Miami.

The Rays also could win back-to-back series on the road from defending division champs for just the second time in team history; previously in 2015 against the Orioles and Angels.

Cobb has been pitching well, using his fastball/curvevall combo, in lieu of his traditional top changeup, as he continues to work his way back into form from May 2015 Tommy John surgery.

One lineup question for the Rays is the status of 2B Brad Miller, who was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to stiffness in his lower abdomen,

The Indians are starting Josh Tomlin, whose profile is to throw lots of strikes.

Fox Sports Sun is not providing coverage today, though MLB Network is picking up the Indians TV broadcast.
