UPDATE, 4:45: The Rays have Brad Miller in LF tonight, which is an interesting development as far as his 2017 role. He had played OF with Mariners.
DEVELOPING: The Rays are looking to make it four straight wins against AL East contenders tonight when they take on the Orioles at 7:05.
At the same time, RHP Chris Archer is looking to avoid a team-record-breaking 19th loss. He earned his 18th, matching Tanyon Sturtze's mark from 2002, in his last start on Saturday in New York, though pitching well overall.
The Orioles are starting RHP Ubaldo Jimenez, who shackled the Rays earlier this month at the Trop, throwing a two-hit complete game.
With INF/OF Nick Franklin straining a hamstring in Thursday's game, the Rays are looking for reinforcements, with OF Jaff Decker, who finished the season at Triple-A Durham, a likely possibility to at least add a lefty bat to the thin bench.
