For starters: Rays at Orioles, on a cold - but dry - day
UPDATE, 12:01: Here is the Orioles lineup, with OF Joey Rickard, the Rule 5 pick from the Rays, batting leadoff and playing centerfield again:
UPDATE, 11:48: Still no lineup for the Orioles, who apparently are waiting to decide on the status of CF Adam Jones and SS J.J. Hardy, who have been out with minor injuries. ... Cash confirmed the Rays will start Moore, Smyly and Archer in the three-game series against the Indians, then use a fifth starter to be determined on either Friday or Saturday against the White Sox.
UPDATE, 11:42: Cash decided to go with the same lineup he had planned for Saturday, acknowledging that with only two games in a five-day period it is hard to get everybody playing time.
DEVELOPING: After spending all day and part of the night dodging rain and snow and not playing, the Rays and Orioles are set to go today on what will be a cold - 35 at 9:30, with a feels like of 29 - but crisp afternoon.
Manager Kevin Cash was working late Saturday to sort out his lineuip, knowing with the Rays also off Thursday and Monday, so playing time is limited.
Since LHP Drew Smyly went through a full warmup on Saturday, he was not able to come back and pitch on Sunday. So the Rays are sticking with their original plan and have RHP Jake Odorizzi start.
The O's are also sticking with their Sunday scheduled starter, Vance Worley.
Lineups when available.
