DEVELOPING: The Rays will be aware they have the comfy confines of the Trop tonight when they open their road schedule taking on the Orioles on a cold night in Baltimore.
Temperatures have been in the 40s much of the day, and the forecast high, per weather.com, is 52 with a wind chill of 48. And it is only expected to be worse on Saturday, with lows in the 20s, high winds and a forecast of rain with a chance of snow.
RHP Chris Archer, coming off his opening day loss to Toronto on Sunday, will be on the mound for the Rays, seeking his first win since Aug. 31, having gone 0-4 in seven starts. RHP Chris Tillman will start for Baltimore, working on three days rest after pitching only two innings due to a rain delay in the Monday opener.
The Orioles roster includes former Rays minor-league OF Joey Rickard, who was a Rule 5 draft pick.
