For starters: Rays at Phillies



UPDATE, 10:26: With RHP Brandon Gomes being sent down, the Rays have essentially set their roster. There are 27 players left in camp, and that includes RHP Juan Carlos Oviedo who is recovering from Tommy John surgery and expected to be placed on the DL, and minor-league C Craig Albernaz, who is needed to help with the workload the final week.


UPDATE, 10:14: While the Rays are using only a few players likely to be on their big-league roster, the Phillies are trotting out most of their big names, which will a big test for Hernandez. Here is their lineup:

DEVELOPING:  The Rays head to Clearwater today to face the Phillies.

Righthander Roberto Hernandez, a candidate for the final rotation spot, will make his last start before the team makes their decision between him and RHP Jeff Niemann.

Not many regulars on this trip, coming off a night game in Port Charlotte. There will be the team's second catcher, Jose Lobaton, though, as well as Ryan Roberts.

RHP Jamey Wright says he's still not heard from team regarding today's deadline to put him on the roster.
