UPDATE, 12:52: Maddon said 1B James Loney was excused from the workout in Port Charlotte today due to issues with allergies but should be ready to play Tuesday. ... RHP Kyle Farnsworth said he will throw in his first game on March 8. ... LHP Frank De Los Santos has not thrown yet due to some shoulder stiffness but should be ready soon. .. Maddon said all players will have Wednesday off, the first of three scheduled off-days this spring. Maddon, however, will be in Tampa for a colonoscopy. "First one. I'm very excited about this. .... One of those life experiences you must go through.''

UPDATE, 8:08: Scott said he didn't feel any tightness this morning coming into the complex, but would undergo treatment and testing later today and have a better idea how long he will be out.

The lineup has a couple interesting twists, with Sean Rodriguez in centerfield and Mike Fontenot in left. Myers get the start in right. Also, Chris Gimenez is behing the plate, hoping for the chance to win the backup job.

DEVELOPING: The Rays are in Fort Myers today to face the Red Sox, with Jeremy Hellickson on the mound.

The travel squad posted on Sunday didn't include too many of the big-name players, with Sean Rodriguez and Ryan Roberts topping the list. Also, prospect Wil Myers.

Luke Scott was to play, but is out for at least a couple days after leaving Sunday's game with tightness in his left hamstring.

Also scheduled to pitch today are starting candidate Jeff Niemann, plus Enny Romero, Alex Colome, Dane De La Rosa and Kirby Yates.
