For starters: Rays at Red Sox

UPDATE, 12:31: Maddon said he moved Longoria up to third in the order since they are having such a hard time getting guys on base in front of him, but also that by having Kelly Johnson 8th and Sam Fuld 9th it would be like Longoria hitting 4th on subsequent times thru order, Compared it to Tony La Russa hitting the pitcher 8th in his Cardinals lineups. ... DH Luke Scott was sent back to the hotel because he was sick (stomach problems) so did only a light workout this morning, no baserunning.

UPDATE, 11:12: The Rays' 33 runs are the fewest in the AL and their fewest through 10 games since 2001, and they have reached double digits in hits only once thus far. ... The Rays have only four home runs - fewer than 7 players - and not hit a home run in more than a week - 49 innings and 180 at-bats. Also, they are 0-for-11 with the bases loaded.

UPDATE, 11:05: More lineup changes, as Maddon moved Longoria up to third and Zobrist second against the right-handed Buchholz.

DEVELOPING: Coming off Saturday's frustrating defeat, and some interesting post-game comments, the Rays are back on the field this afternoon to face the Red Sox again.

RHP Alex Cobb, who was to start on Friday's game before the rain out, will be on the mound for the Rays, and the Sox will start RHP Clay Buchholz, who has been off too a good start.

The Rays have continued to struggle offensively, and after going 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position on Saturday they are now hitless in their last 17 at-bats with RISP.

Lineups shortly.
