DEVELOPING: After blasting the Rockies 10-1 in a rain-delayed game that ended after 11:30 here in Denver (and 1:30 a.m. Tampa Bay time), the Rays are back at it quickly for an afternoon series finale.
RHP Chris Archer will be on the mound for the Rays, coming off an improved outing and a renewed commitment to strike-throwing in response to a challenge from manager Kevin Cash. The Rockies are starting LHP Jorge De La Rosa.
The Tuesday night win for the Rays snapped their 11-game road losing streak, which dated back to their last win at Arizona on June 8. That was also the last time they won a series on the road.
