For starters, Rays at Tigers, seeking some July 4 fun
UPDATE, 6:17: Maddon said RHP Jeremy Hellickson (elbow surgery) looked good and felt good in his Thursday rehab start for Triple-A Durham and is close to returning from the DL, though no final decisions have been made. Hellickson will throw a bullpen session at the Trop on Saturday. His 30-day rehab assignment ends Sunday, so the Rays can either activate him and bring him back to the majors or option him to the minors.
Maddon also said SS Yunel Escobar (shoulder) is feeling better and should be ready on or around his July 10 eligible date, which could get him back in the lineup for the final series before the All-Star break.
Maddon also said he feels both David Price and Jake McGee are deserving of spots on the AL All-Star team, which will be announced Sunday.
UPDATE, 6:11: There are no apparent musical overtones for the Rays lineup today, manager Joe Maddon just hoping it produces more than two hits.

DEVELOPING: After seeing their five-game winning streak end with a rough 8-1 loss to the Tigers on Thursday, the Rays are looking to rebound in a July 4th night game.
The Rays will have RHP Alex Cobb on the mound, the Tigers LHP Drew Smyly. Cobb has been inconsistent since returning from the DL in mid-May, but confident he is closer to getting his mechanics in order.
The Rays made one move today to address their bullpen, recalling LHP Jeff Beliveau after LHP Cesar Ramos went on paternity leave to return to St. Petersburg to join his wife, Melanie, for the birth of their first child.
Lineups when available.
