DEVELOPING: The Rays will look to extend their winning streak to three tonight when they take on the Yankees in the second of a four-game weekend series.
Veteran Roberto Hernandez, who has been inconsistent for the Rays and unsuccessful against the Yankees, will be on the hill facing RHP David Phelps.
Hernandez lost to the Royals in his last start, leaving without finishing six innings for fifth time in 13 starts. He is 1-6, 7.50 in 12 appearances vs. Yankees, 1-2, 7.88 at new Yankee Stadium.
Luke Scott is back in the Rays lineup as the DH, and prized prospect Wil Myers will play for the fifth straight game since being called up.
