UPDATE, 5:22: Forsythe was scratched from the lineup, deciding his bruised right foot did not feel comfortable when he was fielding ground balls. He said he is available off the bench and expects to play before the season ends Sunday. ... Cash said C Curt Casali has been shut down, that his attempt to come back from a hamstring injurry was admirable but there was too much risk of a setback that could impact his off-season training. ... Nick Franklin will start at 2B in place of Forsythe. ... SS Troy Toluwitzki is back in the Jays lineup for the first time since fracturing his shoulder blade Sept. 12

DEVELOPING: The Rays open their final homestand of the season tonight against the AL East champion Blue Jays with a chance to finish with a .500 record if they can sweep the series.

The Jays are still playing for something as well, the chance to finish ahead of Kansas City and have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.

RHP Erasmo Ramirez will be on the mound for the Rays tonight; veteran LHP Mark Buehrle for the Jays.

The Rays lineup has somewhat of an unusual look, with Tim Beckham playing 3B as team MVP Logan Forsythe returns to second after sitting out the last two games, and Joey Butler getting a start in LF.
