For starters: Rays vs. Jays, looking for more
UPDATE, 5:48: The Rays put Luke Scott (back) on the DL and added RHP Brandon Gomes to bolster their bullpen for the next two days, with OF Desmond Jennings (finger) expected to come off the DL on Monday and replace Gomes. ... Maddon said there is nothing wrong with Wil Myers, that Maddon just wants to get him off his feet for a few days as the DH. .. The Rays have only a 3-man bench for today and Sunday.
The Jays are without SS Jose Reyes tonight and Sunday due to a sore knee.
DEVELOPING: Coming off another walkoff win, the Rays are looking to continue their latest roll tonight against the Blue Jays.
RHP Roberto Hernandez will be on the mound for the Rays against Jays LHP J.A. Happ.
After a six-game losing streak, the Rays have won three straight and moved back to within one game of the AL East leading Red Sox.
Happ will be making his third big-league start since returning to the Jays after hit in the head by a line drive during a May 7 game at the Trop.
Though playing well again, the Rays may be looking for another bat to bolster their lineup. There has been mutual interest in a reunion with former Rays OF/DH Delmon Young, who was released last week by the Phillies.
Lineups when available.
