UPDATE, 6:49: Principal owner Stu Sternberg said the game is expected to sell out, that there were only a few hundred tickets left as of 5:30 or so. ... Sternberg said Lobaton's homer was "as unexpected" a hit as any in recent Rays history. .. He also said avoiding a sweep was vital: It would have been unbelievably embarrassing to lose 3 straight to these guys - especially these guys." ... Former Rays and Red Sox OF Rocco Baldelli said he is "more worried about this first pitch than anything I've done on the field." He hasn't played catch in 3 years.

UPDATE, 5:19: Lefty swinging Kelly Johnson will get the start at DH tonight for the Rays, as Maddon felt he was a better choice than struggling Matt Joyce, and a better matchup than RH Delmon Young. ... Maddon said he was split between Jose Lobaton and Jose Molina as the catcher, and decided that Lobaton would riding a high from last night's heroics and he "couldn't walk away from that.'' ... Maddon said the trainers and Wil Myers are both confident he will be fine tonight after leaving Monday's game due to cramping. Maddon checked with Myers this afternoon and said he didn't give much thought to DHing him. ... Both Archer and Moore will be available in relief, though Maddon said he would more likely go first to an experienced reliever then use one or both of them to start an inning. The Rays will have RHP Jeremy Hellickson on the mound tonight, hopeful that with extra rest - having last pitched Sept. 27 - he will be more effective than recent results indicate. The Red Sox are starting veteran RHP Jake Peavy, who has pitched well overall since being acquired from the White Sox, but didn't finish particularly strong.
