For starters: Rays vs. Red Sox, facing an old friend
UPDATE, 10:51: Cash said they plan to play Guyer a lot, as much as he can handle coming off the hamstring injury. Guyer said he was ready and eager to get back in there. ... Cash said if Decker gets claimed elsewhere that is good for him but if not the Rays would like to have him at Triple-A. ... Cash said it was somewhat shocking that the Rays pitching staff had allowed five-plus runs in 13 straight games. ... OF/DH Corey Dickerson said his sore left thumb is feeling better and he hopes to return to the lineup on Thursday. ... Motter said playing 1B is not a big deal, that he had 5-10 games there in the Dominican Republic this winter and isn't too concerned.
UPDATE, 10:46: The Rays had to change their original lineup as Oswaldo Arcia was scratched because he was ill.

DEVELOPING: After going back to their losing ways on Tuesday, the Rays are back on the field early today for a 12:10 matinee against former ace David Price.
Price has faced the Rays four times since being traded to Detroit in July 2014, going 1-2, 6.75 overall, He has pitched twice as a visitor at the Trop, going 0-2. 3.21, including losing a 1-0 complete game to Alex Cobb.
This will be the first time Price has pitched at the Trop with the arch-enemy Red Sox. Price said that won't make it any different for him, though Price acknowledged "the fan base may feel differently about it.
The Rays are starting LHP Matt Moore, who has been pitching better of late.
OF Brandon Guyer is being activated off the DL, with OF Jaff Decker designated for assigment to make room.
