DEVELOPING: After losing to the Red Sox and old friend David Price on Monday, the Rays have RHP Chris Archer on the mound tonight for the second of the four-game series.

Archer has been pitching better of late, 3-4, 3.06 since the All-Star break, a drop of more than 1.5 runs from his first half numbers. The bad news is that he is 1-9, 5.82 in 14 games vs. the Red Sox, including 0-3, 8.10 in three starts this season.

The Red Sox are starting RHP Clay Buchholz, who is filling in for injured RHP Steven Wrigth, who is 2-8, 5.95 in 15 starts and was bumped to the bullpen.

One ongoing subject of conversation was the home-run robbing catch by Red Sox rookie OF Andrew Benintendi, who leapt over the short wall in the leftfield corner.

Lineups when available.
