UPDATE, 5:11: The Rays got home runs from SS Brad Miller and minor-league OF Granden Goetzman and beat the Red Sox 5-1. ... Several key members of the bullpen worked in the game - Danny Farquhar, Alex Colome, Steve Geltz, Xavier Cedeno, Enny Romero and candidate David Carpenter. .. Cash said Andriese (3 IP) and Ramirez (5 IP) both did well in their minor-league games.

UPDATE, 10:26: In addition to the big news that RHP Brad Boxberger will miss around 8 weeks following core muscle surgery, Cash said OF/DH Corey Dickerson has been out of the lineup due to a blood blister but should return on Saturday, and that 3B Evan Longoria felt he needed the day off after fouling a ball off his shin on Thursday.

UPDATE, 8:25: Longoria is not in the lineup, so he must not have felt too good today.

DEVELOPING: The Rays are back in Port Charlotte today to take on a Red Sox split squad at 1:05.

LHP Dana Eveland will start for the Rays on what will be a bullpen day as they have scheduled starter RHP Erasmo Ramirez work instead in a minor-league game. RHP Matt Andriese, who missed a Sunday start due to abdominal tightness, is also slated to work in the minor-league game.

There was no lineup posted when the Rays clubhouse opened to the media, which may be a result of Evan Longoria's status, as he was hit on the left shin by a pitch Thursday.
