UPDATE, 6:12: The Sox will start RHP Alfredo Aceves on Wednesday.

UPDATE, 5:57: The Rays lineup has a significantly different look tonight, as the Rays are facing their first lefty starter in more than two weeks. Also with Ben Zobrist's hot streak he is back in the No. 3 spot and Desmond Jennings back on top.

Rays lineup:
Jennings cf
Rodriguez lf
Zobrist rf
Longoria 3b
Escobar ss
Loney 1b
Roberts 2b
Molina c
Joyce DH
Hernandez p

The bullpen was going to be a bit shorthanded, though the Rays called up a fresh arm in RHP Jake Odorizzi, who was to start tonight for Triple-A Durham. Though RHP Kyle Farnsworth left last night's game with some elbow discomfort, the Rays didn't put him on the DL. Instead they placed RHP Alex Cobb on the bereavement list after he found out last night that his grandmother passed away.

DEVELOPING:  What can the Rays and Red Sox do for an encore tonight after a 14-inning marathon on Monday that included a little bit of everything, including some flared tempers as Rays manager Joe Maddon and OF Matt Joyce had harsh words for Red Sox RHP John Lackey.

With their bullpen shorthanded, the Rays will send RHP Roberto Hernandez to the mound and hope he can work deep into the game.

The hitters will have their own challenge in facing Sox LHP Jon Lester, who is the first lefty they have faced in more than two weeks.

Here is the Sox lineup:
Ellsbury CF
Victorino RF
Pedroia 2B
Ortiz DH
Napoli 1B
Nava LF
Drew SS
Ross C
Iglesias 3B
Lester P
